System is a modernist, neo-grotesk sans family. Utilitarian in nature, the typeface was first influenced by type found throughout wayfinding infographics in European and US art galleries. The idea behind System, was to create two sub-families, one transparent and another with more character. The two sub-families Blank and Grotesk, explore the concept of neo-grotesk vs grotesk. Using optically balanced forms with a graphic personality, allows System to be used in various settings from logotypes to very small body text. System is set in a wide range of weights, giving designers more control.
